Middlesex County Community Learning Center at Roosevelt
The Middlesex County Community Learning Center at Roosevelt opened in February 2003. It is open to all county residents who need to improve their literacy skills in order to find a job, or get a better job. The Community Learning Center is centrally located at the Roosevelt Care Center in Edison, which is accessible by public transportation from the northern and central areas of Middlesex County.

Courses Offered:

· English as a Second Language (ESL) – Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced

· English Pronunciation/Conversation

· Basic Computer Literacy

· Citizenship Preparation

· GED Prep for Mathematics and Essay Writing

We Can Help You:

· Improve your English Language Skills

· Improve your Basic Computer Literacy

· Improve your Reading and Writing

· Discuss your Personal Goals and Career Choices

· Refer you to our One-Stop Career Center for additional Job Training, when you are ready

GED Testing:

The Community Learning Center offers the GED Test on a monthly basis. Please call the Center at 732-321-2201 for registration information and test dates.

Monday through Thursday: 8:00 am – 5:45 pm
Fridays: 8:00 am – 3:30 pm
Tuesday and Thursday Nights: 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm
Saturday (call for dates): 9:00 am – 12:00 pm

Directions:

From I-287 North & South:
Take Exit 1A for Route 1 North (Newark). Follow Route 1 North directions below.

From Route 1 North: Take Parsonage Road jug handle and cross Route 1. Menlo Park Mall will be on your left. At third light, turn left onto Oakwood Ave/Roosevelt Ave. The Roosevelt Care Center entrance is on your left. The first driveway is the exit, so take the second driveway to enter.

From Route 1 South: Turn RIGHT onto Parsonage Road. Menlo Park Mall will be on your left. At third light, turn left onto Oakwood Ave/Roosevelt Ave. The Roosevelt Care Center entrance is on your left. The first driveway is the exit, so take the second driveway to enter.

PARKING:
Parking spaces are available in MENLO PARK MALL. Go to the Community Learning Center and enter through the Roosevelt Care Center driveway. Roosevelt Care Center will be on your left as you go uphill. Take the second right to enter the MALL PARKING LOT. This is a covered parking deck. Walk from the MALL PARKING DECK towards the Roosevelt Care Center. The Community Learning Center ENTRANCE will be to your left; follow the BLUE SIGNS. The Community Learning Center is on the THIRD FLOOR.

Limited Parking is available in the Roosevelt Care Center parking lot. Please DO NOT PARK in spaces reserved for hospital patients and staff.

New Jersey Transit Bus #810
The Community Learning Center at Roosevelt is located at the Roosevelt Care Center, next to Menlo Park Mall. Bus # 810 comes directly from New Brunswick, Highland Park, Edison, Metuchen, and stops at Menlo Park Mall. The Community Learning Center is within walking distance from the bus stop at Menlo Park Mall.
