End Of Course Biology Test
|
|
May 14, 2008
Dear Parents,
This year the New Jersey Department of Education is requiring that all students enrolled in a Biology course during the 2007-2008 school year take the End of Course Biology test on May 19th and 20th. The first day of testing will assess each student’s general knowledge of biology using multiple choice and open ended type questions. The second day of testing will be a performance assessment – where students will need to apply what they have learned to solve a problem they may encounter in the real world.
Students have been preparing for this test in their Biology classes all year as part of our Biology curriculum. We are confident that our students are prepared and will demonstrate this through the tests. The test results are not a graduation requirement this year, but will provide data for the state and our school in the future.
