AP Informational Session for Parents and Students 
Thursday, January 23rd 6-7 PM, High school cafeteria
This session is for students interested in taking Advanced Placement courses in grades 10-12.

SWMHS offers Advanced Placement courses for students in grades 10-12. These courses typically have pre-requisites, which include honors level coursework, teacher recommendation and specific grades. The AP Informational Session will inform you of the AP courses offered at the high school, the course rigor and requirements. Students interested in taking AP courses are encouraged to attend this hour-long session with their parents.

Freshman Parent Orientation
Thursday, Jan. 23rd 7:15-8:15PM, HS Auditorium
This orientation is for parents of students in grade 8. We will provide an overview of the course offerings at the high school, the scheduling process and other important information for the Class of 2024.
Freshman Student Open House - Freshman Tip-off
Thursday, January 23rd 6-8 PM, Auxiliary Gym A
Incoming freshman and their parents are invited to see what clubs and sports are offered at the high school. Students are invited to watch the boys' basketball game (free entrance with school ID) and enter to win Apple AirPods (free entries with school ID). AirPod winner will be announced at the basketball game. Parents can stop in at any time before or after the Parent Orientation.



A Message to Students, Parents, and Guardians regarding School I.D.'s:

At Sayreville War Memorial High School, our top priority is to ensure the safety and security of our students. Please be advised, each student has been issued a Sayreville War Memorial High School student identification card and lanyard. Beginning Monday, October 7th, students must wear their photo ID badge and school issued lanyard at all times.  The first ID and one (1) replacement are free. Since ID’s are required, the cost of additional replacement ID’s is $5.00. The cost of an additional lanyard is $3.00. ID’s may be obtained at the School Counseling Office.  Please refer to page 39-40 in the student code of conduct for further information regarding student identification and failure to wear/display Photo Identification Card.

Scoliosis Screenings begin in October. 
If your child is currently under active treatment for a spinal problem, or if you would prefer not to have your child screened, please sign and return this  form to the nurse's office. All students will be screened unless this form is completed and returned to the nurses prior to the scheduled screening days.

*Please note that students must remove their shirts in order to be screened.
